How does online tutoring work?
We create strong connections between tutors and students in a flexible, convenient way. Our simple platform helps students quickly and easily find a qualified tutor and build a plan to meet their academic goals.
You should expect an interactive, face-to-face discussion with your tutor, including time to work through lessons or problems. Your tutor will provide a summary of the session and directions for recommended next steps. You will be able to give feedback on the tutor and session, too.
Stride tutors are required to be state-certified teachers and are located across the U.S. Some are employed by Stride and teach for one of our many K12-powered online schools. To be certified, a teacher usually must achieve a bachelor's degree or higher, complete a state-approved teacher preparation program, complete a student teaching experience, and pass a series of exams. Each state has its own certification requirements.
